This week I wanted to really dig deep in terms of what I’m listening to, and have I got a treat for you. I wanted to pay tribute to an artist that is largely responsible for getting me hooked on fingerstyle guitar.
He is a ninja master at arranging songs for fingerstyle guitar. His fretting hand moves with ease fueled by a smooth as silk picking hand. He is a finely tuned fingerpicking machine.
This artist I am referring to is none other than Eric Lugosch. Eric is an inspirational player, a phenomenal teacher, and incredible arranger. His albums are a treat to listen to and he has a knack for pulling beautiful tone out of his Ryan guitars… yes plural.
This is an artist who placed in the Walnut Valley National Fingerstyle Guitar Contest 4 times (First place in 1984, Second place in 1992, and Third Place in both 1986 and 1983).
Make sure to give him a listen you will not be disappointed at all, and if you are a fingerstyle guitar fan you absolutely must check out his website for the valuable teaching resources.
