This week I am listening to a folk and bluegrass-infused group that has tight harmonies, superb songwriting, and a cast of characters that play their instruments expertly.
This band gels together with gorgeous harmonies delicately placed over a bed of beautifully played instruments.
Lindsay Lou & the Flatbellys are just plain outstanding… This group has it all dobro, banjo, upright bass, mandolin, acoustic guitar, and a lead singer whose voice is captivating and nearly addicting.
Words cannot do justice to a group that can go from blues to old time, to smokey jazz feeling songs in one fell swoop and with an unparalleled smoothness.
They have a few albums out and all of them will take you on a musical journey you will surely want to repeat.
