Jake and Rebekah Workman

This week’s featured acoustic artist is a duo, Jake and Rebekah Workman. This duo comes recommended to us by Acoustic Tuesday listener Andrew D. of Richland, WA.

Andrew says, “Both of their skills are SICK.” – he need not say anything further, because that pretty much sums it up. I have seen Jake play in person, and he is a phenomenal player. The two of them together are incredible.

What I love about their duo is that it’s not just straight ahead bluegrass. Yes, the bluegrass is there – but there are some vocals numbers, swing numbers, jazz like numbers. They are just a treat to listen to.

    P.S. I just bought a Gibson G-45 Studio. Love it. Given that the Hummingbird Studio has same tone woods as G-45, will both guitars sound essentially the same?
