This week’s featured acoustic artist is Glenn Jones, who was recommended to us by Acoustic Tuesday listener Richard L. from Kingsland, TX. Here’s what Richard has to say about Glenn:
“His latest album doesn’t have a single cut in standard tuning! He rose to prominence in the rock group Cul De Sac but has since gone out on his own. His work is descended directly from John Fahey, Robbie Basho and others in the American Primitive school. The latest album has echoes of his rock background in the sound; and echoes of Fahey, etc. al. in the works, Listen to “The Last Passenger Pigeon” (so far only on the album) and you will will be transported to another plane! I’m now investing in his catalog – it’s a fascinating as Fahey was!”
