Blues Guitar Lesson #1
Today’s blues guitar lesson is focusing on a bass guitar line that is found in COUNTLESS blues songs.
Funny enough, this blues guitar line is taken from a bass player’s repertoire. While it may sound like it’s pretty bass-y, just wait until you try it out over a jam track.
Yes, it utilizes the bass strings, but it’s a catchy melody that can be played over a lot of different blues songs!
Here’s the GREAT thing about this blues guitar lesson: you learn 1 finger shape, and then you apply it to 3 different places on the fretboard.
Additionally, you’ll learn how to focus your pick direction. This lesson has you using constant eighth-notes.
As long as you are keeping a steady rhythm in your picking hand, this blues progression shouldn’t prove too difficult. Again, it’s only day 1, so I hope you can pace yourself and keep up the good work tomorrow!
