[Series] Guitar for Beginners > Lesson 1: How to Tune Your Acoustic Guitar
Before you can play anything, you first need to get your guitar in tune. The easiest way to tune your guitar is with an electric tuner, but before you can do that, you need to know the names of the strings.
Low to high, the names of the strings are – E, A, D, G, B and E. Those are also the names of the notes for tuning each string.
Now that you know what you’re dealing with, you can go ahead and clip your electronic tuner to the head of the guitar and we’ll take it from there.
Once you’re tuned up, take your guitar practice to the next level with Tony’s Acoustic Challenge. Watch this FREE guitar class for three secrets to learn guitar faster in just 10 minutes a day.
