I am just learning to play an acoustic guitar,@ 69
I do have a disadvantage x2
I cut my fretting thumb and NOT able to fully bend the tip
A year later, I cut off the first joint of my pointer finger, also on my fretting hand
Do you think/know of a way that I may become a successful acoustic player
or should I try another instrument?
Yes you can play the guitar as good as or better than anyone else! I have seen many people with disadvantages play great. Johnny Cash had a back up guitarist who played with his feet and I heard him play and I hope I can play as well someday! Go for it remember what Henry Ford said, “Whether you think you can or can’t, you’re right! I look forward to hearing you play! God bless.
