To kick things off, I’ll dive right into the lessons that my new baby boy has taught me. We’ll cover everything from why rest is important (both for baby and for guitar journeys!) to the power of joy in music.
In addition, I want to show you an exercise that will help you practice dynamics on acoustic guitar. Practicing dynamics can be difficult, but by following these dynamics exercises you can get more out of your playing!
To wrap things up on this episode, you’ll get a look at my electric guitarsenal — that is, all the electric guitars in my collection.
I have 3, not including my dad’s electric bass guitar, so be sure to check out what this acoustic guitar geek plays when he’s plugged in!
Thanks for watching this week’s episode of Acoustic Tuesday, and I can’t wait to see you next week!

Tony, you must be a mind reader. I am going through this right now, by trying to learn a song with no lyrics and experienced the exact frustration frustartiin markers, you mentioned. I learned a great deal from you today and I am grateful.
Congratulations on the birth of your Baby Boy!
I have two little boys and it just clicks with me that I need to have patience with the process of learning guitar (I’ve been picking it on and off for years since OTSFM a long long time ago). And to find the JOY. That’s something I forgot for a while.
OK Tony, I’ll try to be more patient with myself… and cut down on all that crying & screaming…
Well, you & I have pretty much opposite tastes in electric guitars. But that bass…. beauty!
