Hi Tony and Noah,
John here in Colorado Springs. You guys are great! Keep up the good work!
john
Hey Tony and Noah, I really like that Tony’s performs his songs. You should do this
each show. Joe New Jersey. Sound great Tony….
Always enjoy the telecasts
Hi! Rick in San Francisco (yet again!) First, Tony, loved your song. Particularly the “droning” bass lines (as opposed to alternating) almost like the 5th string on a banjo without the baggage that banjos carry for guitar geeks. That custom Martin is beyond gorgeous. Might have to capture a still, frame it, and take it out now and then just to drool. A question for Noah: I have noticed that almost all of the videos end with a countdown display starting from “19” (except today, of course that counts down from “15.” Does “19” have some arcane significance? Enquiring minds want to know!
Hi Guys. Dustyoldchips here in Arnprior, On Canada. Tony if you play then I wonder why you and Noah can’t play a tune together from time to time. Would be neat to hear both of you
Love the new graphics and shatter fades @noah and @tony. Thanks also for the Fishman Mini idea, I guess it is only a matter of time.
Just saw #95,loved it.you played beautiful hybrid picking on your guitar. Thanks for a great show.see you at #96.already almost 96. Thanks.!!💡👍😁☕️💌
I really enjoyed Tony’s rendering of his song “The Smoke Is Rising”.I would like to bring to your attention a Bluegrass and Old Time music festival that happens in my hometown,Dahlonega,GA it’s called The Bear on the Square. http://bearonthesquare.org/
Keep up the good work Tony and Noah!
Had to laugh when Brian said he saw a player on the web with “sausage” fingers. My inspiration has always been Leo Kottke, who makes all that music with short subby little fingers… like mine. (;-)
STUBBY, that is… not ‘subby’
Checking in from Lil’Rhody on Acoustic Tuesday #95. As I have said before Tuesday’s are now my favorite day of the week. Great mini lesson on Chicken Pickin (hybrid picking) as I’m currently taking the Finger Picking course and will certainly add that into my practice as it’s good to be versatile. Tony, I truly enjoyed your performance keep feeding us more! Looking forward to doing some listening of Frank Solivan and I’m jumping for joy that Billy Strings and Molly Tuttle are playing together at the Newport Folk Festival in July.
Hea guys, always a treat to hear Tony play, great song. And a double treat to hear that Martin, what a wonderful sound that guitar has. Always sounds great on the TAC lessons. Thanks guys. Your friend Guy B.

I would love to see Noah play bass and demonstrate his expertise!
Your song is lovely, as is that fantastic guitar! Do you think I could use my usual thumb pick for hybrid picking? Had such a memorable spectacular ALF – thanks for all the hard work you all put into it! 🙂
Great show…good things come in small packages. Enjoy/prefer the compressed format. You’ve selected the best parts – play lesson, equipment reviews and artist features. Agree with those that want to hear Tony play something every episode. Thanks Tony and Noah.
#ToneTalk Humidity is an important factor to consider when you are making decisions on guitar maintenance. I am thinking about how different guitar finishes would impact on the degree that humidity impacts the wood on a guitar. An all solid wood guitar would be the most vulnerable to humidity extremes. I am wondering how, or if, the finish on a guitar plays into that. Would you comment on the difference a satin finish , a nitrocellulose finish or a UV cured finish might help protect a guitar from humidity extremes differently? Thanks Eric S, Surrey, B.C.
One thing I really love about Acoustic Tuesday is the featured artists. Frank Solivan and Dirty Kitchen are jaw-dropping amazing. I had to watch the full version of “Whipping Post” and then watch the Allman Brothers version. Both were fantastic. The young man on guitar…wow wow wow. Love the show and love Noah’s dry humor. Tony and Noah play off each other so well. Keep up the good work, guys. Looking forward to next week’s edition.
Hi Guys,
it’s always a joy and an inspiration to listen to you guys. The Smoke Has Cleared is a great tune and will really get me going on Hybrid picking. Not to mention open D (and G and C) tuning. My inspiration and, in my opinion, one of the finest song writers working today is Richard Thompson who uses hybrid picking and open tuning almost exclusively. You cannot do better as an example of the heights to which these two techniques can take you than to check out his ‘Sunset Song’. One day I will own it – but not just yet. Keep up the good work guys and all the best from here in SW France.
I like what you are doing. are you familiar with Zager guitars? What are your thoughts?
Hello from Fredericksburg, VA. Listening to Frank Solivan and Dirty Kitchen’s album “If You Can’t Stand the Heat” and it is a superb album. One song in particular “Crack of Noon” really, really cooks. If you like great bluegrass picking, check it out. They even do a version of “Rikki Don’t Lose that Number”. Great album. Thanks, Tony, for recommending this group.
Great Song Tony.
Great tips. Have helped me with a lot of mytreries(?)
