Have a look at this harp guitar…
I’m a regular AT viewer… I’ve been playing about 60 years – favorite instruments (until recently) were my Martin D28 Retro, my 1971 Martin D12-35 and my Taylor 12-string… recently – my latest guitar challenge – I had an unusual harp guitar made for me by Tonedevil Guitars in Idaho (https://www.tonedevilharpguitars.com/deluxe-inlay-s-19st-harp-guitar/ for a picture of my instrument featured on their web site)… you might want to take a look at these guys… their work is remarkable, their instruments affordable and the sound and feel are unbelievable… they have commercialized my instrument (which is custom hand-made – custom mother-of-pearl inlays and signature, redwood top, mahogany neck back and sides and east indian rosewood fretboard – action set specifically for my playing style – finger-picked vintage blues, folk and Americana – and the light gauge Elixir strings I like) and you can have one for the paltry price of $5,400 (with case – they have less expensive models, of course) – take a look… it might be worth a review (I think so, anyway)…. I guess I officially fit the “guitar geek” category now….

Peter, that is an amazing -looking harp guitar! If it sounds 1/10 as good as it looks, you are in for one heck of a ride. It’s absolutely, jaw-dropping, gorgeous. I hope you have many days of magic with it. When do I get to hear you play it?

Hi Guys
Rick in San Francisco again. Great show , as always. Matt Dillon, U.S. Marshall in Dodge City, Kansas on the long-running TV Western, “Gunsmoke.” Matt often could be found at Miss Kitty’s Longbranch Saloon where neither Bourbon nor Scotch could be found as they would have served (at that time period) good old American Rye whisky. Gunsmoke ran for 20 years! Matt Dillon was played by James Arness and Miss Kitty by Amanda Blake. 90210, indeed.
Oops. You beat me to it (apparently by 9 hours). Have you ever heard the original radio Gunsmoke? William Conrad as Matt Dillion, Georgia Ellis as Kitty, Howard McNeer as Doc & Parley Baer as Chester Proudfoot. Conrad later played Cannon on TV and was the voice-over narrator for Quinn Martin Productions. It’s his voice at the start of The Fugitive. You may remember Howard McNeer as Floyd, the Barber on the Andy Griffiths Show.
You guys are sooo young. Matt Dillon? C’mon guys. Gunsmoke! Marshall Matt Dillon, played by James Arness on TV, and William Conrad on radio.
BTW… Scotch. Single malt, please.
