#4 The #1 One Mistake You Need To Make
There is 1 mistake you can make on your guitar that will immediately change your perspective on every future mistake you make. Wanna know what it is…? Then check out today’s episode of Acoustic Tuesday. I’ll give you the key to ruling all of your mistakes.
#3 B&G Caletta Guitar
B&G are mostly known for their electric guitars, so you can imagine my surprised delight in not only hearing of their NEW acoustic line, but impressed at what I have seen and heard so far.

#2 What’s On the Turntable This Week?
I became aware of this duo when they opened for I’m With Her in Stanford, CA on 10/10/18. I love their personalities, their story (twins from Illinois whose last name isn’t actually Brother – haha, it’s Moss), and of course their touching music. They masterfully play a variety of instruments (guitar, violin, mandolin, cello), and their harmonies are dead on. But what’s really striking is the sentimentality of their songs and their performances, somewhat reminiscent of Simon and Garfunkel. The link that I featured is a half-hour radio interview with the duo, but they play full songs in the interview. Give it a listen and I hope you enjoy.

#1 Lowden Strings
I’m a geek for strings AND I just happen to be on the lookout for a Lowden Guitar… so I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to give Lowden’s NEW strings a try. I put them on my Martin OM Custom and am very very pleased with the tone I am getting. You can see and hear them for yourself…
Hi Tony, it’s Jim from Oshawa Canada. I never miss Acoustic Tuesday. I always have a smile on my face while watching. I’d like to know how many guitars in your personal Guitarsenal. Keep up the great work.
Hi Tony and Noah, John here in Colorado Springs!
Hea guys, Guy here from FL. Thanx for a great show. And about mistakes I make so many and recover from them all’. You could say I am a pro. at mistake recovery. Now I need my LIGHTNING not to make any. Thanx guys

I forgot to mention,i love sci-fi alot too.and from Hollywood,florida.!!👍🎉💡😁🦉
Another great show guys. Ok, I have a couple of questions for Tony. 1. How many guitars do you actually have? 2. Are there any photos of you clean shaven? C’mon Tony, own up! Oh yeah, I always find a preoccupation with horror movies a tiny bit worrying! If you want to experience the worst horror movie from the UK just watch the Brexit negotiations, with a cast of 650 ! God help us!
#smallwin……..saw Molly Tuttle perform songs from her latest album on stage at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville last Saturday and she was amazing.
Hey Tony and Noah, grateful fan Sam from Ypsilanti, MI here. Thank you so much for leading me back to the guitar, acoustic this time around of course!..Anyway, I had some time off work and have been going through all the Acoustic Tues. shows that I haven’t seen( I started watching in the late 40’s) -in the midst of all that guitar geeky joy, I came across AT-16, the FIRST ask Matt segment!…I think you still do that on occasion and I have a question for that bearded wonder if you can get to it one day; When considering scale length, how important is a longer dreadnought/OM length compared to a 000 type or shorter to proper-sounding lower tunings or open tunings? Is it all about scale-length or are there other build factors to consider?…..thanks fellers…and Matt!
Tony,
I used to have a Lowden 023. I had it shipped from Ireland and highly recommend it to you. My wife nearly divorced me over that guitar, however that marriage lasted another seven years.
Guy Pharis
Noah,
I highly reccommend the Bushmills 10 year old single malt. There are not enough O’s in smooth to describe this whisky. My first wife that didn’t approve of my buying a Lowden guitar? Well, the Bushmills was the final straw.
Guy Pharis
Great suggestion, Guy. Thanks! I just picked up a bottle yesterday 🙂 I really enjoy it so far.
You know you’re a guitar geek when:
You can do minimal household chores (folding laundry, putting dishes away, making a martini, etc) with finger picks on.
#Bigwinday: New capo G7th Performance 3 and new Santa Cruz Parabolic Mid Tension strings. The GUILD D-40 is singing.
Thank you so much for the recommendations.
Just poppin’ into say “hey from the UK and I thought the Brother Brothers were totally mesmerisin”‘.
# smallwins. I am only just now Friday getting time to watch #85 from Arnprior , Ontario Canada. My small win is a huge step. After struggling with bar chords for almost a year; giving up multiple times I have FINALLY nailed and can lay on a sweet sounding bar chord just about anywhere on the neck. WooHoo! Now I’m working on faster changes – life with Acoustic Life is good.

Hi Tony, Noah and Levi!
I want to check in from a few places not usually mentioned on Acoustic Tuesday. I have been traveling with my Taylor GS Mini Koa, playing most days but falling behind on seeing AT each week. I have done a bit of AT binge-viewing in the past week during visits to the islands of Mauritius and Madagascar, and Maputo, the capital of Mozambique, so greetings to all from each of these M-places. Your show is a welcome bit of home while traveling, familiar faces and a sense of community in far off lands. Thanks!
I met a new friend while traveling, Richard from Nova Scotia. He told me about his grandkids who are heavy-metal guitar geeks, so I suggested they tune in. Wouldn’t it be cool if they were watching when you read this shout-out?
Finally I want to repeat my suggestion to feature Red Molly on the show. I first heard their tune Sing To Me at an open mic and had to hear more. The are a female trio with great voices and acoustic instrumental skills to match.
Looking forward to ALF II and catching up in person. Cheers!
Howdy Boys, Comments, have too many from AT#85!! Noah, Good luck with the Pup, no doubt will rule your house, let her! U won’t regret getting her friend for life. #2.Tony should be in a commercial for Martin. #3. Checked out the Little Sister Guitar, Wow, it’s almost like a hybrid, fro the head to bridge, cost=Ouch. #4Strings Louden I think, if a set of 11s fell off a truck, be glad to take em off your hands, along with the very exspensive Picks(Noah, if u find one on the floor(he won’t miss), throw it my way as well.. lol
Gentleman, so much more to say but for now, Thanks, I really enjoyed this #85.I watch on Sunday’s. Oh.. side note, look for my comment on Drop D Tunning video!! Knocked it out of data park. TC to u both and ur family’s! 💕
#youknowyoureaguitargeekwhen…you say “ouch” when you accidentally bump your guitar against something, as though speaking for the guitar or as though your feel your guitar’s pain.
# SMALL WINS Hi Tony and Noah , super stoked to have seen the amazing Molly Tuttle at the weekend on her UK tour in Biddulph Stoke on Trent. Brilliant set, just Molly and her trusty Martin, and she signed a couple of CD’s for me after the gig ! Well chuffed ! Keep up the great work on the AT show! Regards Keith
Andrew from Fitchburg WI. Great tip on mistakes, Tony! I lead worship at my church and dreaded when I made mistakes and worried about it. After making a few and getting encouragement from my wife how little that mistake matters in the context of the entire song, I’m not afraid of making them anymore. I still avoid them, but if I’m a beat off on a chord change or hit a wrong note, it’s easy to recover and move on. Thanks for incorporating a guitar tip that’s more of a performance/mental tip than a playing tip, but just as important.
Love my Andrew White guitars! Great value. Get on the mailing list, they have auctions for show guitars. I’ve bid on and purchased two guitars at great price!
DADGAD strings! What an excuse to buy a new axe that stays in DADGAD tuning all the time!
