#4 The Importance of Reflection and Intention
Grab a cup of coffee and a pen and paper. Reflection and Intention are the lynchpins to experiencing progress on the guitar. Being grateful for the experience you’ve had thus far (#smallwins) and then setting intentions moving forward is crucial in creating positive momentum in your guitar journey.

#3 What’s On the Turntable This Week?
This week’s featured acoustic artist is a duo, recommended to us by Glenn W. Everyone needs to stop what they’re doing right now and listen to Clay Parker and Jodi James. I have been listening to them all week. I am completely enthralled by their harmonies, sound and dynamic as a duo. They are a musical treasure that needs to be listened to by all guitar geeks.

#2 Wrist Grips Review
These wrist grips almost give you an added strength. They offered an incredible amount of stability to both my picking and fretting hand. I can’t explain it but I felt like I fatigued less and had more stamina. They just made me feel more stable. I think you’ll notice a difference in using these wrist grips.

Happy New Year!
I am thankful for your show. I have learned a great deal from watching over the past three or four months. I am going to continue to watch, and plan on attending the Fretboard Wizard this year. I also plan on checking out the Acoustic Challange as well.
I am thankful for having my guitar set up the right way, and lastly I am thankful for all of the lightbulb moments so far. I pick up my guitar every day and can’t seem to get enough.
Again I thank you. Keep on doing what you’re doing.

First of all, Happy 2019! Keep this stuff COMIN’! As for 2018, the main thing about the year’s accomplishment was on July 19. That day, I underwent Carpal Tunnel Release. A great decision! #SMALLWIN Now,, 5 months post op, things are easier to do in guitar.
As a former OTSFM staff member, I appreciate all your Chicago references. I live 50 miles fron the city, in Woodstock, IL. There is a GREAT music community here. Lots of Martins, Taylors, Gibsons and even Blue Ridge! We also have a luthier who builds 5 string fiddles and the most amazing mandolins. His name is Marty Brunkalla and he is just a great guy to boot!
Have been a fan of Homer and Jethro, and the biggest thrill to play bass behind Jethro Burns. Have a couple of photos of us together. Jethro, in his more popular years, had a mandolin that was red, had double “horns and a sound hole rather than “f” holes. That mandolin has passed through several hands, but, now, according to Jethro’s daughter, Terri, it now rests in the able hands of one, Sam Bush! To me, it’s an iconic instrument. I sure wish Sam would play it out once in awhile. It would be such a kick to see “Red” out on the stage again. Jethro would rip off a lick here, a lick there, so fast and full of pure “I can do this, but you can’t!” smile. He was a monster. He even played on a couple of cuts on our band’s album. So sad when he passed, but, we still have Sam Bush and our local hero, Don Stiernberg. Lots of stories from that era in Chicago. Am sure you may know some!
I have saved all the Acoustic Tuesdays since October and will binge watch during this week. Thanks for all you do! And tell Noah to get that stupid thing off his head and get the cork board assembled!
There were no pictures on the guitarsenals.

Happy New Year from the SF Bay Area guys! Another great show, but no photos for the guitarsenals this week?? I’m buying my shirt today. so soon, you’ll be seeing my guitarsenal, too.
#smallwin: Today. I finished the final woodworking phase of my own guitar-in-progress, a deep-body, parlor-sized mini-jumbo, with a Port Orford Cedar top and cocobolo back and sides. Now, if I can adjust the intonation, I may actually have a musical instrument, and not just a shapely, pretty box.
What is going on with you guys? Two phantom Guitarsenals! All the words but NO pics! I’m gonna excuse you guys this time as it is the first day of the new year. 🙂
No pics of guitarsenals ) -:

Happy New Year guys.

Happy New Years! I think one of your goals for 2019 should be to get the Acoustic Tuesday Show streaming on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, etc…. Cheers!
Hey, Tony! I have enjoyed watching Acoustic Tuesday from its inception. I understand the desire to see Acoustic Tuesday evolve and grow even more. But I would caution you to not make it bigger than can be digested in one sitting. For myself, a show of about 45 minutes is perfect. If you want to add more segments, I would suggest having a spin-off show (Acoustic Thursday?) that could have a different focus. One show could focus more on the playing side (lessons, gear, Ask Matt, Small Wins), and the other more on the community side (What I’m Listening To, Guitarsenals, book reviews, festivals and camps). That’s just an example of how you could expand your content into separate shows. My point is only that a show longer than 45 minutes begins to be hard to find the time for as a viewer.
One of my goals this year is to meet and play with as many other guitarists as I can. I feel now that I have enough experience that I will learn more from watching and playing with others. Another goal is to build a headless guitar. I have built a Jaguar, Telecaster and restored a 1973 Epiphone EA250 in the past 2 years. This year I am going to build a headless guitar. Thank you Tony and Noah for sharing this past year with me. Happy New Year. By the way my son and I are currently using Thalia picks and are really likeing them alot.
Loved the show. This is the first episode that I have heard. Liked the segment on Reflection and Intention (it caught my ear because this is something I had already intended to address to my guitar students over the next two weeks), but the link below “#4 The Importance of Reflection and Intention” (https://acousticlife.tv/al-design) is dead. I wanted to check out the extended form. Hope it can be fixed soon. Thanks.
Hey guys glad you enjoyed the See’s candy. Well at least I know Levi and family did. Lol. The See’s candy were from Kenny L and I (DeeDee). We were off radar for a bit camping which is the reason for late comment.
Happy New Year. Hoping we will see you all in June.
AT71 is the first of these I have seen, and my #smallwin is that I realized only about 1/2 of what was discussed made any sense to me, so I am NOT a Guitar Geek (but I am not getting there!).
A few corrections from one of the Georgia Guitarsenal submissions,1st Maple Street Guitars is in Atlanta,2nd as a previous commenter said there were no images of the two Georgia Guitarsenals,we just saw Tony reading the text provided by the Guitarsenal submissions and last,Dahlonega is pronounced “Dah lon a ga”,spoken as one word.
Really enjoy the show, keep up the good work!
Awesome show guys. Started tuning in from Burlington, Vermont about 3 months ago and have spent soooo much time watching the back logs.
More importantly, awesome t-shirt Noah. I noticed it from the first second….cause i have been wearing the same one for the past year. Amazing band, love their energy and music.
Thank You Tony for showing us Clay Parker and Jodi James. Their music caused me to “Well Up” in tears. Their lyrics
are beautiful and have wisdom.
Maybe instead of ‘occupational hazard’, the danger of leaving each guitar shop visit with a new guitar should be called an ‘avocational hazard’ to emphasize the guitar geek aspect of the experience
