#4 Artificial Harmonics Made Easy
I don’t know about you, but one thing that keeps me out of a guitar rut is learning new techniques. So, in this video, I show you how simple it is to start playing artificial harmonics. Get out your guitar, because after watching this you will be playing them!

#3 What’s On the Turntable This Week?
This week’s featured acoustic artist is Scott Mulvahill. Scott is doing something that I always thought was completely impossible – sing and play stand up bass at the same time. To me this feat seems impossible and I am very impressed.

#2 LR Baggs Venue DI Review
This DI left me wondering why it took me so long to try it out. It’s probably one of the most versatile DIs on the market. You can really dial it in to your preferences, which I love. The tuner is one of the best tuners I have seen on a DI. I think they have thought of everything with this product!

#1 Ask Matt – Sitka vs Adirondack Spruce Braces
As a guitar geek do you ever find yourself pondering the question, “What is the difference between sitka and adirondack spruce braces?” Acoustic Tuesday correspondent Matt Chulka from Eddie’s Guitars in St. Louis, MO helps us answer this tough question.
Visit Ask Matt
Awesome. Love the line “20-20 Vision…And I’m walkin’ Round Blind!” Awesome lyric. Amazing Singer/Songwriter!

BRING HIM TO BOZEMAN!!!!
Esperanza Spalding is AMAZING!!! Google ‘Sunny Side of The Street’
#Small win: I realized I am a guitar geek when I heard Travis N and his Sat. binge guitar lesson watching. I binge watch everyday.
And SO glad you are reviewing the TonewoodAmp! I humbly suggest trying it on a couple of your guitars. It sounds and behaves differently on my guitars. It loves my mahogany M-20 Guild, not as happy on my 0-28. Just FYI
Hi Tony, loving what you and Noah are doing for all us acoustic geeks out here. I have a “friend” I met years ago doing community theater and she has gone on to being the amazing bass player/vocalist in a band called Good Morning Bedlam. If you get the chance you should check these young folks out. Prepare to be surprised and impressed.
Blessings to you all.
Re: Singing & playing bass. Going back a ways, Lou Gottlieb of the Limelighters also did this.
My guess on the guitar back: African Blackwood?
Fun and enjoyed the harmonics information. Cool design on the back of your guitar.
What Martin Maple model did Tony use at the beginning. Looks nice.
Fabulous information about harmonics!!! Thanks for that, I appreciate all the learning there is available on TAC, it’s like the Never Ending Story…never ending learning 🙂
Hey, just a couple of questions..I’m just watching AT/65..its friday after Thanksgiving..finally getting to it LOL…
Questions..
Tony, Have you put your TONE RITE on your Vintage Southerner.?
I have purchased a TONE RITE at your suggestion and used it on my Taylor 710 and my Gibson Songwriter Studio.. It’s sooo awsome, really brought out the sustain and overall tone.
I’m thinking about a present to myself, for how hard I’ve been freaking working..and I’m thinking about getting a Santa Cruz Vintage Southerner, and was wondering if you TONED UP on that guitar?
Does Matt of “ask Matt” sell Santa Cruz guitars over at Eddies? maybe I could order through him…??
You seem Stoked to your Gills about your interaction with Matt on your guitar order.
I spoke to Matt at the Guitar festival, he was really cool and DID NOT TURN HIS NOSE DOWN ON MY LOWLY GIBSON!
He signted the neck for me and said sweet Gibby, which made me feel good cause I know its a bit of a production guitar.
Tony, Tell us the complete Spec’s of your new BOUGOIS guitar…
Also, in 2011 Martin built a D-18 that is short Scale…Can you talk about Short Scale a bit more…lots of pros and cons out on the internet…you seem to really like your SHORT SCALE Santa Cruz..
I love sloped shoulder dreadnoughts…!! Also thinking about a 12 fret slope D Larrivee,,,
ASK MATT How do you feel about short scale vs 12 fret..??
ASK MATT…How do you feel about hide glue..?? Big difference from whatever other type of glues they use??
