#5 A New Album On The Horizon
A couple of episodes back on Acoustic Tuesday, I featured a singer/songwriter who has an incredible voice, and his songwriting is just, well, it’s about as raw as it can get. He’s like a word magician, and I gotta tell you, I was super pumped to find out this piece of knowledge…

#4 Mouth Watering Guitars From Virginia
When I first started playing guitar, I absolutely lusted after a particular guitar from this maker. I remember talking to my Dad. I’m like, “Dad, we have to go to these different shops and I have to try out these guitars I heard that they’re amazing.” And boy, was I right…

#3 What’s On the Turntable This Week?
This artist is largely responsible for the start of my own personal guitar journey and I thought he absolutely needed to be mentioned in a show. For those that are familiar with him you should be reminded of his importance in the acoustic guitar world, and for those who have never heard his name, you are in for an absolute treat…

#2 What Happens When Two Guitar Geeks Are Stuck In a Room?
Every now and again you find yourself in the company of a true guitar geek. This happened very recently and you’ll never guess who sat down for an interview here at Acoustic Life Studios…

You have taken a half day off work to sit on your front porch and await the UPS trucks arrival with your custom martin dreadnought!. Your strummings and paying respect to your first all solid wood Taylor Grand Auditorium model, knowing sadly it will be spending more time in its case. You take a break to check the UPS tracking status for the 8th time, then decide to flip over to YouTube. To your delight you see that AT 1 year anniversary episode is available and it hits you! How epic is it that the stars aligned for your Martin to arrive on this very day. You see the ask Matt interview teaser and think thank goodness I have another 30 minutes to keep my mind off the UPS truck. Then it happens. You hear the sound of the UPS truck slowing down and the crunch of the gravel as he drives down your neighbors driveway. You run to him. Sign for the guitar and carry it to acclimate in your house while you finish AT 52. You go inside, open your Martin, strum an open G…Then immediately text your boss about how you wont be able to make it in at all today.
I’m some kinda jealous, Alex. Happy NewMemberoftheAlexGuitarsenal day!

Happy Birthday Acoustic Tuesday! Thank you for the Spotify playlist—it’s fantastic!
You know you are a guitar geek when your watching major league baseball and when the “k” zone comes on the tv, you see a chord chart instead and start naming chords based on the location of the pitches for a given batter.
Congratulations on a successful first year.

Enjoy your show and gear and music recommendations.
Great show as always, # for my birthday I sent my Guild D-40 out to be repair, the bridge was coming up. so thy fix the bridge, also had bone Pins put in and a Fishman acoustic guitar pick put in the volume and control is under sound hole. very nice. and also the action was lower. Everyone who seen it played it and said what a nice guitar. # shout out form Mike R from Murphy, N.C. I have not miss a Tuesday show after hearing about it from TAC. learning every day thanks You’ll.
Also spreading the word about Acoustic Tuesday show everywhere I go.
Phenomenal #happyyoutubeoneyearversary guys! Loved the reminiscing back to AT1 and seeing the VAST difference in Noah’s hair from then to now and the consistent message since day one; spread the guitar geek nation across the globe! Oh, and guys, being a Virginian, I must correct you on the pronunciation of Staunton, VA. It’s spoken as if there’s no ‘U’ in the spelling. So, it’s, “StA-nTon.” 😉 Love your affiliation with G4V! This is a military town and we love it when people support our troops any way they can and THIS is a wonderful program! Keep up the good work!
If you ever get to Staunton, VA, do it on Fridays – that’s when you can get a tour of Huss & Dalton’s shop. Usually conducted by Marc Dalton!

Are there any tonal differences between a wide grained guitar top compared to a tightly grained guitar top? Which do you prefer?
