Ha Ha. I get Red Light Fever every time I try to play a TAC lesson along with Tony’s video.
Great show (103) today. It is nice to be a part of something special.
Just received the Beard Deco Phonic South Side last week and I found it to be one of the easiest playing finger style guitars I have ever played. The quality and fit of the (hand made) Deco Phonics are perfect and the tone is a perfect mid range with a ton of old school Mojo! Love mine!
That bass player with Keb Mo? Pretty sure it’s Christian McBride – probably the greatest living jazz bassist! You should hear what this guy can play. He’s incredibly inventive and probably faster on the stand-up bass than Tony is on guitar. Keb Mo is cool, but actually way out-classed by Christian McBride.
YES, that definitely IS Christian McBride. Found the same clip on YouTube. Best bassist on the planet!
yes yes Red light is so BAD Mw
why do you pick to the right not at the hole what is the difference in sound

Comments on #103 – I really think your idea of a “state of affairs” is a wonderful wonderful idea and the excitement you would generate as you could sit and talk about what’s going on the Guitar front and invite industry experts for their 3, 5, and 10 year projections. I watch Acoustic Tuesday, have watched and podcasted all, to get your and the communities slant on the growing effort in the guitar world and would welcome a weekly session. Excellent suggestion and keep up the exceptional Acoustic Tuesday show it is the highlight of my week.
Hey ,Tony

Hey Tony, I’m a TAC member, followed you for years, and I have a “burning” question. I just became the proud owner of an incredible 2010 Collings 001G (German Spruce Top, Honduran Mahogany sides & back). This Tone Monster is unbelievable. What a beautiful work of art. I’ve never seen or heard a word from you about Collings Guitars. WTF is going on here? Or have I just missed any endorsements for Collings? Alton R
Hi Tony, love the show! Best thing I was ever able to do to help diminish red light fever was to record everything I play. Yes, that way when the red light comes on it’s a normalcy instead of a rarity. Can be a hassle sometimes to set up for recording everything you play but I found it really helped me. Another thing this helps with is critiquing your own playing. Hope this helps you and all the other guitar geeks out there. Also liked seeing your son on the show today, handsome kid. Well thanks a lot and keep picken. Philip
