American Epic is a musical TV series that I just recently started to get into. This show really traces the roots of American music.
The series is fascinating, from the footage that they dug up, to the songs featured, to the interviews….this show is multifaceted. It’s a treat to watch, even if you’re not a guitar geek. You can sit down with the family to watch this and everyone will enjoy.
In this episode, I dig into a specific American Epic segment on Mississippi John Hurt. I think the footage, interviewees, and story are just amazing.
